Bahia Mar Hosts A Barbeque To Benefit House of Hope and Stepping Stones. The Event Included a Special Waldorf=Astoria™ Hotel NYC Raffle.

On the evening of Thursday, September 24, Bahia Mar hosted a special event to benefit the House of Hope and Stepping Stones organizations, which offer the needed help in a residential treatment setting for persons with chemical dependency.

Held in the gardens area at Bahia Mar, the event consisted of an outdoor barbeque set directly on the scenic Intracoastal Waterway, highlighting the property’s unparalleled location. The menu featured items such as pulled pork sandwiches, hamburger sliders, chicken and beef satays, salads and a variety of taste treats for dessert. Throughout the evening, guests mingled with friends and fellow advocates, enjoyed delicious food and were able to browse displays showcasing our proposed Bahia Mar Park project – which will transform the property into a landmark destination featuring a spectacular 4.5-acre waterfront community park and luxury Waldorf=Astoria™ Hotel.

To honor the Waldorf=Astoria™ Hotel component of the project, we conducted a special raffle drawing for a spectacular weekend getaway for two to the famed Waldorf=Astoria™ Hotel in New York City. The elated winner was Doreen Albert, a New York area native. Following is a photo from the event, which includes (from left-to-right) CEO of House of Hope Geri Pipitone, Bahia Mar Park developer Peter Henn, President of House of Hope Barbara Stuart, and raffle winner Doreen Albert.

The Bahia Mar Park team was – and continues to be – thrilled to be able to support the House of Hope and Stepping Stones organizations and the numerous ways both have been helping those in need over the past 40 years. We also appreciate the organizations’ support of our project and the ways Bahia Mar Park will give back to the City of Fort Lauderdale and its community.
